Common questions

What was EDG, and what replaced it?

EDG closed to new applications on 29 September 2026. Ongoing EDG projects and claims continue after completion.

Who is eligible for EDGE?

Your business must be registered and operating in Singapore, with at least 30% local ownership. You must not have received an earlier grant for the same standard, and you must apply before starting work, paying or placing a deposit.

How much of my project can EDGE support?

EDGE support is up to 70% for SMEs and up to 50% for non-SMEs. The level depends on the activity. For eligible Standards activities, it supports professional service costs and first-year certification and testing costs.

Are ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and bizSAFE supported under EDGE?

ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and bizSAFE are not supported under EDGE. ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 can receive up to 70% for SMEs and 50% for non-SMEs. ISO/IEC 27001, ISO 22000 and ISO 41001 can receive up to 50% for SMEs and 30% for non-SMEs.

Can you guarantee my grant will be approved?

No consultant can promise approval, and you should be wary of any who do. We scope, justify and present your project properly.

What do you need from me to start?

Your company profile, project idea, objectives, estimated budget, timeline and any vendor quotations. From there, we advise on eligibility and the relevant EDGE activity.
