E-commerce migration · Singapore

Move Your Store to Shopify Without Losing Your Rankings

We move your products, blog posts, pages and URLs across, build the theme, and launch on a planned cutover. Your wording and your photos stay exactly as they are, unless you ask us to change them.

★★★★★More than 10 merchants supported over 5 years. One consultant, start to launch.

Who this is for

Is it time to move your store?

Most Singapore SMEs come to us for one of four reasons. If any of these sound like your shop, a migration is usually worth costing out.

Straight answer first: if your current store works well and sells well, we will tell you to keep it. A migration is worth doing when the platform is holding back your sales, not when the site simply looks old.

Common reasons to move

  • WooCommerce that has grown slow and plugin heavy, with updates that keep breaking things
  • A Wix, Squarespace or custom site you have outgrown
  • A store that still works but looks dated next to your competitors
  • Selling mainly on Shopee, Lazada or TikTok Shop and wanting your own store to own the customer
Not sure? Send us your store link. We will look at it and tell you honestly whether moving is worth it.
Our scope

What a migration covers

One consultant handles the whole move, so nothing falls between a designer, a developer and an SEO person.

Shopify store setup

Plan selection, payments, shipping zones, taxes, domains, email notifications and staff access, all configured and tested.

Theme build

A theme built around your brand and your products, mobile first, editable by you afterwards in the Shopify customiser.

Product migration

Every product moved with its description, price, variants, options and image order intact. We do not reword your listings.

Content migration

Blog articles, static pages, policies and menus carried across so you keep the content you have already paid for.

URL preservation and 301s

We map your old URLs to the new ones and load the redirects before launch, so search traffic and old links keep landing.

Launch and handover

Cutover at a quiet hour, same day checks on checkout, tracking and redirects, then a walkthrough so you can run the store yourself.

How it works

From first look to launch

Two to six weeks for a typical SME store, depending on catalogue size and how much content needs moving.

1

Store review

We go through your catalogue, content and traffic, then quote a fixed scope with a clear timeline.

2

Build

We build the theme on a private Shopify store you can click through before anything goes live.

3

Migrate

Products, articles, pages and images moved across and checked against your live site.

4

Review

Two rounds of changes with you, on the real store, before we set a launch date.

5

Launch

Domain pointed, redirects loaded, checkout and tracking tested, then handover training.

The part that scares people

Will I lose my Google rankings?

Not if the URLs are handled properly. Rankings are lost when a store is rebuilt and the old addresses simply stop working, so every link Google knows about returns an error.

We list every indexed URL on your current site before we start, map each one to its new address on Shopify, and load those redirects on the day you launch. Titles, descriptions and page content move with the page, so Google sees the same content at a new address rather than a site that disappeared.

What we do about search

  • Full URL inventory taken from your sitemap before work starts
  • Old to new redirect map, loaded before the domain switches
  • Page titles and meta descriptions carried across as they are
  • Sitemap resubmitted and coverage watched after launch
  • A short dip in the first weeks is normal, we tell you what to expect
Being upfront

What is not included

Clear scope means no awkward conversations later. These are quoted separately if you want them.

  • Rewriting your product copy. We migrate your words as they are. Copywriting is a separate job.
  • New product photography. We move the photos you have. New shoots or photo editing are quoted on their own.
  • Shopify subscription and paid apps. Billed by Shopify to you directly, so you own the account.
  • Unlimited revisions. Two rounds are included, then further changes are charged by the day.
  • Ongoing marketing. Ads and content are a separate engagement. If you want us to keep feeding the store after launch, see keeping the store growing.
Already on Shopify? Then you do not need a migration, you need development work: theme changes, custom sections, speed and integrations. See Shopify development, or the wider web design and graphic design work.
Why ZES

Five years of merchant work, not an agency queue

Direct and hands on

You work with the same person from the first call to launch day. No sales handover, no junior taking over halfway.

10+ merchants, 5+ years

We have worked with more than 10 merchants over the past five years, across Shopify, WooCommerce and the marketplaces, so the advice comes from live stores.

Your content stays yours

Nothing gets reworded, dropped or reordered without your say so. What is on your site today is what lands on Shopify.

Systems, not just a website

Stock, orders and admin can be wired up too. See our business automation work.

After launch

Keeping the store growing

A new store does not rank on its own. If you want, we keep publishing for you after launch, on the same setup we use for our own pages.

Keyword map first

We work out what your buyers actually search for, then plan the pages and articles around those searches instead of guessing topics.

Articles published monthly

Written, published, linked to the right product and collection pages, with the schema search engines expect. You approve the plan, we do the work.

Monthly Search Console report

What moved, what is ranking, what to write next. Plain language, no jargon dashboard you will never open.

Special rate for stores we build or maintain. If we migrated your store, or we look after it for you, the content work is priced lower than for a store we have never touched. We already know the catalogue, the theme and the URL structure, so the setup is done. Ask us for the rate when you enquire.
An honest limit. We keep the volume sensible on purpose. Search engines penalise sites that suddenly dump large batches of thin pages, so we publish at a steady pace and check the facts, rather than promising an unrealistic article count.
FAQ

Questions we get asked

How long does a Shopify migration take?+
Two to six weeks for a typical SME store, measured from the day we have access to your current site. Catalogue size and how many blog posts and pages need moving are what stretch it. We give you a date range in the quote.
Will I lose my Google rankings?+
Not if the URLs are mapped and redirected. We inventory every indexed URL before we start and load a 301 redirect for each one before launch, so old links keep working. Expect some movement in the first few weeks while Google recrawls, then a return to normal.
Can you keep my product descriptions and photos exactly as they are?+
Yes, and that is our default. Descriptions, prices, variants and the order of your images are moved across unchanged. If you want copy or photos improved, tell us and we will quote it separately.
Do you move my blog posts and pages too?+
Yes. Articles, static pages, policies and menus are part of the migration. That content is often what brings your organic traffic, so leaving it behind is the fastest way to lose rankings.
What happens to my domain and email?+
Your domain stays yours. We point it at Shopify on launch day and leave your email records untouched, so mail keeps flowing. If your email is hosted with your current web host, we plan that separately before the switch.
How much does it cost?+
We quote after looking at your store, because product count and content volume drive the price. Your Shopify subscription and any paid apps are billed by Shopify to you directly. Send us your store link and we will come back with a number.
Can I see stores you have built?+
Yes. Client work is shared privately rather than published, so fill in the form below or WhatsApp us and we will send you examples of stores we have built and migrated.
What happens after launch?+
We check the store on launch day, watch redirects and search coverage in the weeks after, and walk you through running the store yourself. Ongoing support can be arranged if you want it, but you are not locked in.
Can you keep writing content for the store after launch?+
Yes. We plan a keyword map, publish articles monthly with the right internal links and schema, and send you a Search Console report. Stores we built or maintain get a lower rate, because we already know the catalogue and the theme. Ask us for the rate when you enquire.
